A Monument for everything that is considered as Kitsch
2016 | Installation | @ Ateliers ‘89
An Installation with a concrete cornucopia that plays a deconstructed steelpan sound (made by Jason Fitzroy Jeffers). It plays with the question who can decide what is kitsch and what is not? Often, tropical aesthetics are seen by the western society as ironic or kitsch. The cornucopia highlights a price tag on a bunch of golden grapes, emphasising this matter.
